Shenk’s Cup Cheese is handcrafted following the same small-batch traditions that were used 100 years ago, but with today’s wholesome ingredients and care. Farm fresh milk is separated into curds and whey and then pressed and ripened in our aging room. Shenk’s is naturally aged to three flavor levels of Mild, Medium, and Sharp. The flavor intensifies based on the length of time the cheese curd is matured. As always, there are no additives or preservatives.
Like all fine cheese, it is best served at room temperature. Spread it on your favorite crusty homemade bread or crackers, spoon it over warm vegetables or pasta, or dip another Lancaster delicacy: salty pretzels!
